About Texas Baptist Association
What is now known as the Texas County Baptist Association was founded in 1847 as part of what was then called the Gasconade River Association. The Gasconade River Association served Baptist Churches in Laclede, Pulaski, Wright and Texas counties at that time. The true origins of the GRA has been lost to history. On September 25, 1847 Baptist Churches joined forces in the cause of Christ and that of spreading the true Gospel in Texas County.
